Disability Direct bring the Do What You Want directory alive each year to showcase the great work local and national organisations do for people in their area.

The events are aimed at disabled children, adults, older people and carers but are also a great opportunity for professionals to meet services so they can better understand the needs of the people they work with.

Each event aims to bring together between 100 and 150 organisations that provide services in a particular area with the majority of exhibitors being local organisations that provide activities, information and advice, equipment, volunteering opportunities, work experience and disability sports.

Disability Direct has held 6 events in Derby and Nottingham and you can find information and photos on the previous events page.

The events are free to attend for customers and from 2015 organisations wishing to exhibit will be asked to make a £10 donation to the charity(charities and community groups still book for free).

Check back soon to see if the DWYW Live event is coming to your area.
